Utter good before evil
Christ within the Roman grip
striking our Savior
mocking the truth of his identity
spitting in his face
the crown of thorns
his clothes stripped away
brutalized for no reason
a darkness gripping the holy city
the life of the lamb bloodied
prepared for the cross
