knowing all too well
the feeling of the cutting
lopping off part of my past
pruned to be fruitful
that which has withered
suckers on the vine
sapping the strength from worship
pulling us from the divine
pruned to be faithful
to bear more fruit for God
abiding fully in him
growing in the Lord
