The One who came

The man needed Jesus
the specialist, the doctor
the only one who could heal him
here on the earth
God incarnate
Emmanuel, with us
sent from heaven
out of God’s love

They needed to reach him
the One who came
to bring us true life
God, his name
Christ could heal him
the ache deep within
restored completely
Christ word alone

Christ the only one
who can heal us
we need to come
to our Savior’s feet
Whatever we have to do
no matter the obstacles
striving ever
to come to his touch
