Sin within our bodies
sickness within our soul
the opposite of the fruits of the Spirit
things of this earth
Greed, hate, prejudice
bad choices of all kind
separating us from the love of God
wandering as if we are blind
They are more important
more dangerous by far
than our physical illnesses
because they leave a scar
The hurt we have caused
the pain in our walk
unable to come before Jesus
needing our neighbors’ help
Like the paralytic,
needing to be brought
humble before our Savior
into the arms of God
He is the master healer
the potter of our lives
he alone can heal us
guarding all our days
We need the touch of Jesus
the love of the living God
to turn from the sins that ail us
to walk in the light again
