Something to learn
from the mockingbird
gathering an inheritance
a transfigured song
Echoing the words
the melody, harmony
those who have gone before
blazing a new way
Following the saints
who follow the Christ
down through the ages
to the present time
All of us called
to sing that new song
our voices joining
that heavenly choir.
