A Satanic Court – v2

Evil servants, corrupt hired hands

standing in judgment of the Master;

God in the dock, the Son

the Defendant in a satanic court

Christ found guilty

by God’s chosen people;

seeking to give Him to Caesar

to the prince of this earth

Caesar finding no fault

proclaiming the innocence of Jesus;

yet submitting to the people

setting a terrorist free

God bound over for sentence

brutally beaten, mocked;

the Lamb with our hands upon Him

becoming our sin sacrifice

Going from the harsh beating

to die upon the cross;

the Savior of the universe

paid the awful cost
