The Gospels tell us
how He lived his life
but this week upon us
all here exposed
the focus of our faith
How Christ walked
entering Jerusalem
knowing what was to come
humbly submitting to the Father
to the way of the cross
So much else he could have chosen
before the adoring crowd
a powerful leader
the Messiah they hoped for
not the Lamb on the cross
