no ordinary time

no ordinary time

through the eyes of Jesus

able to see God’s hand

in every breath of creation

every moment of time

no matter how infinitesimal

God’s hand guiding

every heartbeat

no ordinary time

so all of it treasure

gifts of the divine

for us, for this time,

all of us unworthy

all of us fallen

but each of us given

a set of numbered days
