that the world would not intrude – v2

A prayer repeating
as others gather there
into a time set apart
may their cloister be a fortress
may God place a hedge
of protection, of peace
around the encampment
I pray that the world
would not intrude, usurp them,
this time set apart
may this time truly be holy
conversation unencumbered
their masks taken off
their burdens let go of
and placed at the cross
