Latent Prints – v3

latent prints of the Potter

invisible to the naked eye;

but still there written,

God’s hands leaving a mark

the marks of the Potter

pressed into my clay, latent;

the loops, the arches, the whorls

visible only within me.

in my inmost parts

the ridge patterns evident;

God molding my dust

with His hands, with His fingers.

God’s mark upon me

deep within, lasting;

latent prints there too

if we would only see.
