all of His friends
the twelve disciples
those who loved Him
His best friends
they would fail
in these 24 hours
some would betray Him
some would deny they knew Him
all would run away
afraid, into that night
leaving Him to His Passion
the trial before the Sanhedrin
the crown of thorns,
the awful beating,
the judgment before Pilate;
they would leave Him
utterly alone.
