a rapier, a sword
light to cut through the
darkness
punching holes in the canopy
piercing the fabric
the shroud of our grief.
a cutting away, a winnowing,
an epiphany of presence
of God walking with us
on the journey together
through all our storms.
a blade sharpening, made
ready,
in new light glorious
joy in the presence of God
harrowing through the chaos
the storms of this life.
