the
hills alive on this morning
dipped
in winter light
painted
with grains of sand;
pure
sparkle, diamonds
on
every filament, fiber,
on
each blade of grass.
facets
of the ice crystals
twinkling
as I drive beside them
holding
God’s light, as a prism;
sparks
of living color, glinting
fingers
of Jack’s paint strokes
dipped,
cast, in frozen white.
the
hills alive in the sunlight
shimmering,
the fields afire
morning
just begun, waking;
filaments
of sparkle
painted
before the sunlight
the
morning drive to work.
