Awakening

an awakening, a dawning
an awareness, epiphany
the Christ, his lessons
leading us home to our king
seeing our neighbors,
brothers and sisters
part of the family, fellow sheep
following the call of the shepherd
answering him, knowing his voice
each of us lost, needing
to find our way home
guided by our brother
home to the open arms
our father waiting
before we reach home
