A Whole Life

Within the pastoral prayer
words offered for the children
all of them learning,
so much on their way
that they would have
a whole life, abundance
meaningful, full lives
not in the way of the world
but in the fellowship we share
in the love of our creator
and the lessons he gave us
The son who died
and rose on Easter morn’
Our lives never the same
A whole life,
rich in that which lasts
grounded in his steadfast love
with us day to day
