In our Worship, these words

In our worship, within the sanctuary
entering in to a time of grace
the words of our scripture
the canon of our bibles
echoing down, words of truth, of life
a congregation joining, a heavenly chorus
affirming the message
written on your heart and mine
tablets of flesh, these ancient words gracing
leading us all to humbleness
living our lives, different from the past
finding comfort, contentment
alone in you Lord
walking together,
as our harmonies rising
one community singing
into the sermon of our pastor
contentment in the Lord
