When we turn, he is right here waiting
we will find him, right by our side
Our father, ever, seeking our focus
that we would turn and cleave to his side
Going along, this road as we travel
knowing the pain our estrangement creates
honoring yet our right to our choosing
leaving the way for us to come home
Ever within the wingspan of our reaching
beside us in the trials of this life
Struggling within, our father hurting
wishing, wanting, us to repent
The father, our brother, the spirit indwelling
each of them singing when we run for home
