The sound rising
up to heaven
the crescendo growing
as the seeds take flower
rising toward heaven
praises to the lamb
the one seated on the throne
Each of the pilgrims
believers on the journey
out of the boats, our comfort
walking on the living waters
buoyed by the Spirits
giving us parts to play
each in the chorus, singing to God on high
Taking up our parts
with rising confidence we sing
raising our voices, our hands
in the work of his love
spreading grace like seeds
the sound of the praises rising
across the face of the earth
