How I thirst for you oh Lord
in the quiet of the night
through the din of the day
in the chambers of my heart
I call to you in whispers
in shouts, in desperate cries
come near to me oh Lord
and answer my plea
Show me what I must do
how my family will be sustained
teach me your will today
for my path in this life
Save me Lord, I pray
for I feel the breath of my enemies
they are close by me
I need you by my side
