Somehow jealous
forgetting the mercy
wanting more coins
when our wages should be for our sin
The coin we are given
paid by our savior
forgiving us forever
if we but believe
Called by our savior
to be servants in the field
spreading his message
that all would believe
Going out, as the savior sent us
to the ends of the earth
making disciples, not members
that all may be paid
The same precious coin we receive

Matthew 20:1-16
sermon, "Grumbling about Grace"
by Rev. Frank Gulinello
“Jesus’ parable of the laborers in the vineyard is about
a gracious God whose grace is extraordinarily and
excessively extravagant. Sometimes the
amazing grace of God causes us to grumble because
it seems to be unjust and not fair in our view of the way life should be.”
