An Immediate Sentence

The people judging the Master
demanding Christ be crucified
an immediate sentence
to set the people free

The priest become the sacrifice
bound over for sentence
the Savior in the grip of Satan
to die in this world

Pilate merely the vessel
the power of the earth
God brought before him
the sacrifice for the cross
