We, the children,
baptized like Him
beloved of God,
children, brothers and sisters
with Christ, with
one another, connected,
sharing in the
cleansing, in the changing
our lives no
longer our own, but God’s,
Becoming one with
the church
the Spirit falling
upon us, water,
indwelling within
our hearts, power,
forever changed,
as when David was anointed,
when Paul fell
blind on the Damascus Road
when Christ
revealed himself to Cleopas and the other
and when the
Spirit fell on Pentecost
and upon
Cornelius, all the others throughout time
Bodily, into the
waters with Christ
drowning, dying to
ourselves
up from the waters
in praise
to grow and serve
with Him
yoked with our
Savior, the Spirit within,
to spread the Good
News, life,
to the ends of the
earth
