I am the Soil

I am the soil of my heart

I am to be empty, in love

I long to feel your Word

growing inside of me

I am the soil of the world

I am stuff of the earth

wanting to walk with You

all of my life

I am the soil of the earth

made of dust, of clay

longing for the seed

the Spirit of God above

I am the soil of my heart

I am an empty vessel

fill me with your words

that we may grow a harvest
