often my prayers
begin with quieting
asking for God
to still my heart
quieting the voices
the competing pressures
that I could focus on Him
within the chaos of life.
quieting the voices
a hedge of protection
filled with the blood
of the Lamb of God
centering only
within the quiet
the stillness of spirit
connected with God.
