He foreknew who would betray

The gospels, in retrospect,
showing what Christ foreknew
the Savior, the Messiah
he knew who would betray him
he spoke of this openly
He did not stop the traitor
letting Judas go his own way
Appointed for a purpose
for that purpose faithful
Christ foreknew who would betray him
and he didn’t stand in the way
