Lost, in the Whale

Lost, in the whale
failing to heed your word
running away, defiant
out into the world
in the wilderness
that distant land
needing to be humble
words of the Shepherd, the Father
calling to us, ever
seeking to save us, redeem us
bring us from the grave
back to him, rescued
into the arms of God.
