At the Appointed Time – v2

At the appointed time,

the time when God had ordained

Even the Son was predestined

for the steps on the path

So at that appointed time

before the betrayal

the bread and the cup were shared

His words transforming the meal forever

The blood, the lamb, the bread

all now of the new covenant

by His sacrifice and saving

we are given new life
