Empowered by the Holy Spirit – v2

Forever changed, different

these followers of Christ

while he traveled and preached

healed and walked, with them

Immanuel upon the earth

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

Christ now risen, holy once more

a new body, raised from the dead

breathing upon them, breath,

Transformed, reborn

Changed in that instant

the disciples reborn,

given power, authority

charged to go and spread His Word

Emboldened to tell the world

the message of the Lord

to offer grace and hope

to all who seek, who long,

and hunger, thirst,

all around the world
