a slave to the law of sin

in brokenness, in rebellion

in my body, my flesh

no matter what a want

how I long to follow Christ

a slave to law of sin

to the death, my wages,

held captive by desires

by the sins of the flesh

a slave to the law of sin

knowing its retribution

the judgment upon me

but for the grace of God.
