We are to be, to bring
to carry, to share,
the light of Christ,
of our God, our Savior
A beacon shining, piercing,
into the dungeons, into the
darkness
bringing His mercy, His
wisdom,
His justice, godly virtues
Living today, carrying on
His ministry, His teachings
being like Him, a blessing,
an exhortation
crying out in the wilderness
making ready, making his way
straight
bringing others to his
altar, to his throne
a lamp high on the lampstand
the light for the world
