sometimes we are too cautious
when we have been injured
when we have been hurt before
wanting to avoid the pain
but not experiencing life
Insulated from pain
but we lose moments of joy, of grace,
our sense of wonder
of beauty if we will see it
if we will open our eyes
and see beyond our history
if we will accept the risk
the things that get in the way
that steal our sense of wonder
lost in our busy lives
that we are drowning in
if we will open our eyes
God will show us beauty
joy within the little things
life day to day
