sometimes too cautious
we have been injured
wanting to avoid the pain
but not experiencing life
Insulated from pain
but we lose our sense of wonder
moments of joy, of grace,
of beauty if we will see them
if we will open our eyes
and see beyond our history
the things that get in the way
that steal our sense of wonder
lost in the busy lives
that we are drowning under
if we will open our eyes
God will show us beauty
joy within the little things
life day to day
