Our
altar this morning draped,
washed
in regal shades, color
brightened
by living water,
by
crimson the royal stain of His blood,
vivid
shimmering color, textured, flowing
beside
the open bible, ancient words illumined
below
the brass cross, and lighted candles.
A
foretaste, a living image,
a
mere hint of the grandeur,
of
heaven, of the throne,
the
hem, the robe of the Creator,
filling
Your Temple with grace,
with
Your offering, Your gifts
filling
us all with love.
