Open our mouths Lord,
let us use our voices
to sing your praise
Let us, like Peter, like John
like Paul and the others
speak even when powers
would have us still our hearts
stifle your truth; that we
in our time and place,
would have the courage of Pentecost
of that day in the Temple before the Sanhedrin
to boldly say we would ever sing your praises
and tell your story to the world
