Christ could have claimed His throne
The throne of his father David
the one promised to him
foretold by the scripture
for the root of Jesse, their king
Christ could have claimed His throne
the One long foretold
but he was faithful to God’s plan
climbing a different throne
The altar of the cross
into the holy of holies
the Lamb upon the cross
to restored us to the Father
