Even the Centurion

There from the beginning
in the courts of Caesar
there in the dungeon
the crown of thorns upon him
the scourging, the mocking cries
Taking Christ to Golgotha
the weight of the cross too much for him
having to turn to Simon
hanging on the cross dying
the nails driven into him
his prayer through the struggle
the pain he was enduing
Even the Centurion stopping
while his cohort was casting lots for the clothing
seeing this man as the King
the Son of God before him
