Christ Died for God

The Messiah, the Son
going to the cross
coming down from heaven
to pay our awful cost
Christ died for God
to heal the breach
to set God’s people free

Humbly, as a servant
to grant us eternity
submitting to God’s plan
showing us how to love our fellow man
