sheep without a shepherd
yearning for freedom
but blown by the winds
stirred up by false prophets
leaders corrupted, looking out for themselves
the people tossed and turned
like a cork upon the waves
the ones who shouted loud hosannas
who cheered Christ’s entry in
the living city of David, the capital, Jerusalem
they became the mob
the crowd shouting for blood
to crucify our Savior
to cast the Messiah out
