those six hours
His mother watching over him;
while Christ was crucified
hanging on the cross
the first three hours
breathing out a sermon;
the last words He would speak
hanging on the cross.
darkness fell over the land
cloaked with sorrow;
the Savior of the world
dying on the cross
the final three hours
the world shrouded in darkness;
waiting for this to be finished
God hanging on a cross
darkness blocked out the sun
in the Devil’s playground;
seeming to have a victory
with Christ on the cross
