Empty, of our histories,
but we are not truly innocent,
because we walk the earth
yet, we are empty, like children
able to be filled, vessels,
because we walk the earth
yet, we are empty, like children
able to be filled, vessels,
a slate open, ready
because of Christ’s sacrifice;
we must be mindful of our station
humble before our God
we must be mindful of our station
humble before our God
wanting to be like children
new before the Lord;
open to God’s teaching
new clay, to be touched, shaped,
molded for Your purpose
dedicated in love.
