we looked at one another – v3

What was this Jesus just said?
These weren’t the ancient words;
I know I didn’t understand
these new words of Jesus.
He replaced the ancient words
the ritual of the Seder.
We had all only known Moses’ words;
We looked at one another.
You could have heard a pin drop
at these new words of Jesus,
speaking of a new covenant
in His body and His blood.
