God’s lesson showing us
how to be loving
to our neighbors, the
poor,
those in our midst;
Grain for the widows,
grapes for the wayfarer,
for those already among
us
for those we are called
to love.
Food for the orphans,
for those in our midst,
leaving the gleanings
there
out in the fields;
Grain for the widows,
grapes for the wayfarers,
food for the orphans,
those in our midst.
God’s lesson to be loving
grain for the widows,
grapes for the wayfarer,
for the stranger in our
midst;
Not having to beg
to approach us hurting
going into the fields
into our vineyards.
Gathering for themselves,
from the harvest of God,
offered for them,
our trust in God’s
provision
for now and forever;
Grain for the widows,
grapes for the wayfarers,
for the stranger in our
midst.
