Melt the wax of my struggle
the baggage of my pain;
Free me from the load I carry
as I walk the Way
Give me a forgiving heart
soften my old scar tissue;
Clean out the open wounds
that define my prison
I release the poison
the bile in my spirit;
Heal the pain, the open wounds,
may the puss bleed out
Give me a forgiving heart
to let go of my anger;
Every hurt that I don’t let go of
these I release now, I give them to God.
