Aware of Your Presence

The words of prayer
as she began to speak
that you would be with us
your Spirit guiding
speaking to your children

Yet it is we who need to be aware
in our consciousness
you here already
walking beside us
the Spirit indwelling
when we actively listen
and turn our lives to you
