The fears of the disciples
so used to his presence
about to lose their master
leaving this earthly life
Far too timid,
the ones who followed
needing something to guide them
on their walk in this life
Christ’s promise of the Spirit
musing a blessing
we are no longer alone
Christ remains with us
The Spirit is sent
by the Father in Christ’s name
leading us with his voice
shepherding us in this walk
our time here below
