The sound of the disciples
singing a heavenly song
the story of God’s grace
woven together, in harmony
in the tongues of the many nations
each hearing these words
in the language they knew
The choir singing
in words unpracticed
in languages they did not know
yet given power, they spoke, sang
joining together in one voice
yet speaking in many tongues
burning with the power
bringing hope to us all
