Blessed in Our Freedoms

Like the Rockwell paintings
prepared in wartime
we pause again this week
in this season of conflict
remembering the sacrifice
blessed in our freedoms

Yet, more than our nation
the freedoms of this earth
we are blessed by your freedom
from sin and death
by the death and resurrection of Christ
