The admonition not to follow
placing our hopes
in the powerful of this earth
They, like us, returning
to the dust from which we come
at the end of our days
Trusting only in God
the eternal creator, our savior
only God worthy
of our praise, our worship
only God is deserving
of love, our loyalty
