The yard glistening
but not for an hour
fleeting minutes only
adorned with the dew
The light refracting
dancing before me
the wet lawn shimmering
with silvery dew
A few minutes later
returning from the school
the moment lost
in the warming morning air
The dance of the light
only for a few minutes
before the sun
melted it away
