Becoming Christ’s Servant

Hearing Christ speak
directly to him
the voice from heaven above
asking him to turn
to change from his path
becoming Christ’s servant instead

Bringing the good news
the message of hope
redeemed by our savior’s blood
his sacrifice for us
all who would believe
no matter the color or stripe

Going as he was sent
commissioned as he was
telling the world of God’s love
choosing the path of the cross
humble servanthood
carrying Christ’s message of love

Prayer of Dedication:
“Abundant God, we thank you for the jars of our lives
that are constantly being filled. We offer our gifts to you,
that others may know of your abundance and grace.
Fill the hungry with good things. Lift up the oppressed.
Watch over the stranger and comfort the lonely.
Through our gifts, may we do likewise.
In the name of Christ the Comforter, we pray. Amen”
